Well this is the news page !

Our exciting news for February 2008 is that we shall have a full time dressmaker on the premises from Monday to Friday! This will make booking fittings and alterations easier for you !!

We have had a huge number of organized brides planning ahead for this year (and some for 2010!) and doing the Bridal shop rounds. We thought we would use this page to show you some of the responses as we get them, and also from our "0ld" brides!

Hi to everyone at Amelia Classics

Just wanted to say thank you so much for the fabulous outfits my bridesmaids and I had for my wedding (back in July now - blimey how time flies!). We were all so pleased with how we looked, and felt really special every time we came into the shop, due to your friendly and caring service with a real personal touch. You really helped to make our day wonderful.

Thank you so much for providing me with a lovely wedding dress, and helping to make my wedding day so special. I was impressed with the high standard of service throughout. I was always made to feel at ease when I came for fittings, and was delighted with the end result.

I never usually do this sort of thing but I was so impressed when I came into your shop on Saturday I felt I had to!

I first heard of your shop when I went to a wedding fair earlier in the year. I’m not getting married until 2009, and I am sure you have heard this before but I only plan on doing it once and want to get it right! I have no intention of buying a dress yet but see no harm in trying any on just in case. It’s fair to say that whenever I have gone into a wedding dress shop over the last few months and have been asked when I am getting married and I say 2009 I am always made to feel like an idiot for looking so early. My sister in law and 9 year old niece and I were in Chippenham on Saturday as I saw in Oxfam’s window that they had a bridal section. We went in there just for a nose, and again we were made to feel like we were butting in on the ladies time (for a charity shop I was quite disappointed!) At this point I was getting fed up of the whole thing as looking for a dress was not what I imagined it would be like. Then I remembered that your shop was in Chippenham so we popped in. I knew it was unlikely we’d be able to try any on but hopefully we could have a quick browse.

I must say, I have never been made to feel more welcome in my entire life and you have put confidence back in me! Everyone was so pleasant and encouraging. Unfortunately I never got the name of the lady I spoke with but she was very pregnant! But everyone in the shop was lovely and when I was handed the folder of brochures to take home it was fantastic. I wasn’t judged when I said when I was getting married either, I was told that it was good I had time on my side, which was very encouraging for me at that point!

Although the date isn't until 2006 in june I have decided you will be the shop I visit and buy my dress, extras and all the bridesmaids dresses and extras too. I thought it would be all stress but the girls at the fair made me realise its time also for a laugh and to enjoy it!

I just thought that I would contact you and say how impressed I was with your shop today. It was my first time trying on dresses for my wedding in March, and Emma and Donna (I think!) couldn't have been more helpful or reassuring. I found the whole experience truly enlightening and fun!
